Women forge ahead on a new journey

“ The 14th Five-Year Plan period is the first five years that after our country has built a moderately prosperous society in all respects and achieved the first centenary goal, it will take advantage of the situation to embark on a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country and march towards the second centenary goal. During this critical period, the country formulated and implemented a series of plans and policies to promote sustained and healthy economic and social development. Among them, the contents related to women and women’s work in the “14th Five-Year Plan” proposal draft are:: Adhere to the basic national policy of equality between men and women and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children ； Strengthen the construction of family, tutoring and family tradition. These contents reflect the country's emphasis on women's causes and its commitment to the protection of women's rights and development. Through the implementation of these plans and policies, we aim to further promote equality between men and women, protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children, at the same time give full play to the important role of women in the family and society, and promote the simultaneous development of women's careers and the economy and society.

In the past five years, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, our country's economic strength has been further enhanced, social and people's livelihood has continued to improve, and its international status has been significantly improved. Women's causes have also made great progress, and women have deeply felt the warmth of the Party.  

At the just-concluded National Two Sessions, representatives and committee members from all walks of life actively offered advice and suggestions for the development of women, children and families, and issued a powerful and warm "good voice"”: Zhang Xiaolan, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference: Deepen the "Healthy Chinese Mother Action" and promote the improvement of women's health literacy ； Chen Gui'e, deputy to the National People's Congress: Free vaccination for women of appropriate age  HPV vaccine； Ma Lu, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference: Eliminate the gender digital divide and promote the improvement of digital skills of female employees ； Lin Yi, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference: Create more favorable conditions for rural women to participate in the digital economy ； Wu Haiying, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference: Take proactive measures to support “stay-at-home mothers” in re-employment ； Zhang Zutao, deputy to the National People's Congress: Approaching gender equality in employment recruitment from multiple perspectives ； Jiang Shengnan, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference: Rural women’s land rights and interests are clearly stipulated in the Rural Collective Economic Organization Law ； Zhang Zutao, deputy to the National People's Congress: Approaching gender equality in employment recruitment from multiple perspectives ； Li Xiaoxia, deputy to the National People's Congress: It is recommended to launch public interest litigation to rectify sexual harassment in the workplace, etc. These suggestions take into account the legitimate rights and interests of women from aspects such as health and medical care, economy and employment, marriage and family.

“ "Women" does not mean weak, it means women who can knock down mountains.； “ women” It is not synonymous with "old", but a manifestation of female power.  Women’s confidence, brightness, and uplifting vitality are their most shining qualities!
