From October 23 to 25, 2025, the 27th China International Mining Conference (CIMC) was held in Tianjin. Making its debut at the event, the Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group (“Sichuan Resources Group”) showcased a full-spectrum presence across the mining value chain, drawing significant attention. On the very first day of the exhibition, its booth welcomed over 3,000 visitors and business exchanges.
Under the guidance and support of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources, the Group presented Sichuan’s exceptional mineral endowments, its favorable investment policies, and its robust capabilities spanning the entire mining industry chain—including geological exploration, resource investment, mining and beneficiation, and smelting and processing.
To accelerate high-level opening-up and international cooperation, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Group, globally launched 26 premium mining rights projects during the conference. These projects are located across Sichuan’s major mineral-rich regions, covering a diverse range of mineral types and offering strong development potential, underscoring Sichuan’s status as a resource powerhouse with deep reserves and vast growth opportunities.
At the conference’s main forum, Jiang Tao, Deputy Party Secretary, Deputy Chairman, and General Manager of Sichuan Resources Group, delivered a keynote speech titled “Technology-Led Development: Accelerating the Building of a World-Class Strategic State-Owned Resource Enterprise.” He emphasized that the Group is committed to innovation as its core driver, focusing on its core missions to build a modern mining industrial system and fulfill its state-owned enterprise responsibilities in safeguarding national resource security and leading high-quality industry development.
During the conference, Sichuan Resources Group actively pursued multi-dimensional, in-depth strategic collaborations and achieved tangible outcomes:
Government-level cooperation: Established strategic collaboration mechanisms with natural resources departments in Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang, laying the groundwork for cross-regional resource integration.
International engagement: Reached multiple cooperation intentions with delegations from Argentina, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia, accelerating its global footprint.
Industry partnerships: Held in-depth discussions with industry leaders such as China Mineral Resources Group and Zijin Mining on global resource allocation and technological innovation.
Supply chain synergy: Forged consensus with top-tier domestic and international equipment manufacturers on technology upgrades and project implementation.
“This successful debut at the Mining Conference marks a pivotal step in our integration into the global mining ecosystem with greater openness,” said a spokesperson for Sichuan Resources Group. “Building on this momentum, we will fully advance our strategies of open collaboration and innovation-driven growth, continuously enhance our core competitiveness, and strive to become a world-class strategic state-owned enterprise in the resources sector—making stronger contributions to national energy and resource security and high-quality regional economic development.”
